## Authentication

None. There are no keys, no accounts and no protected areas.

## Versioning

Search is versioned under /v1/; /ask is the NLWeb standard path for the same interface. An incompatible change would get /v2/, and /v1/ would stay available for at least six months. Anything being retired is announced in responses with "Deprecation" and "Sunset" headers.

## Errors

Errors come back as JSON with a code, an explanation and a hint:

## Rights

- Allowed: fetching individual pages on behalf of a person, summarising them and linking to them — for example to answer questions or to make contact.
- Not allowed: text and data mining and training AI models on the content of this website (reservation under Section 44b(3) of the German Copyright Act, see legal notice).
- The photographs are protected by copyright. Any use requires prior written permission.
